About Touchdown Rush
Touchdown Rush is a fast 5 on 5 arcade football game with big-helmet pixel players. You pick a play, snap the ball and control one player at a time on offense and on defense: throw to the open receiver, stiff-arm tacklers, then dive in for big cartoon hits when the other team has the ball. Players tumble, the ball bounces and the crowd goes wild.
Every down starts with quick play calling: three offense cards (a run, a short pass and a deep pass, plus a punt or field goal card on 4th down) or three defense calls (Blitz, Man Cover and Deep Zone). Then the game is all action. The field is short, so drives are quick, and a game lasts two halves of 1:00, 1:30 or 2:30 on the clock, or until someone scores 3 touchdowns. It suits anyone who wants football that feels like a playground brawl instead of a slow simulation.

How to play
- W A S D or the arrow keys: move. While passing, the direction you hold picks the receiver
- Space: the one action button. It snaps the ball, passes (tap for a fast pass, hold for a high lob), stiff-arms with the ball, dives to tackle on defense and leaps for a pass in the air
- Shift: sprint until your green bar runs out. Hold it to run past the line with the quarterback
- F: switch to the defender closest to the ball
- Before each snap: A and D (or the arrows) choose a play card, Space picks it. You can also click or tap a card
- 2 Players: Player 1 uses W A S D, Space, Left Shift and F. Player 2 uses the arrows, Enter (or L), Right Shift (or K) and J
- Phones and tablets: a stick on the left, plus Action, Sprint and Switch buttons. P or Escape pauses on a keyboard
Tips
- Look at the ring under the receiver you are aiming at: green means open, red means covered. Throws into red rings get swatted or picked off.
- Press Space right before a tackler reaches you to stiff-arm him into the grass.
- On defense, a dive tackle that misses leaves you on the ground for a moment. Get close first, then dive.
- Hold the pass button for a lob to drop the ball over a defender on deep throws.
Strategy guide
On offense, mix your calls. Runs like Power Dive and Toss Sweep work well when you need only a few yards, and they beat a Blitz because the rushers fly past the hand-off. Short passes such as Quick Slants and Curl and Out get the ball out before the rush arrives. Save Bombs Away and Criss Cross for when the defense crowds the line. After the catch, run toward open grass, sprint in bursts so your green bar does not run dry, and stiff-arm the first tackler who gets in front of you.
On defense you control the player closest to the ball, and F switches to another one. The defense card matters: Blitz sends three players after the quarterback for sacks but leaves the running back open, Man Cover sticks a defender to every receiver, and Deep Zone keeps the deep ball in front of you. When a pass is in the air, run under it and press Space to leap: you might swat it away or pick it off. Against a runner, close in at an angle and dive when he is about two steps away.
The computer on Hard reads open receivers faster, covers tighter and dives more often. In Franchise, each game pays 50 coins, a win adds 60 (more in the playoffs) and every touchdown adds 10. Buy Arm and Hands first for safer passing, then Speed and Power. In 2 Players, watch what the other player calls: a defender lined up close to the ball often means a Blitz is coming.
Questions and answers
- Do I play defense too?
- Yes. You control the defender closest to the ball, and the game switches you to a better placed player when the ball moves. Press F to switch yourself.
- How long is one game?
- You choose: two halves of 1:00, 1:30 or 2:30 on the game clock, or first to 3 touchdowns. A tie after two halves goes to a one minute overtime where the next score wins.
- Can two people play?
- Yes. Pick 2 Players and share one keyboard. Player 1 uses W A S D with Space, Player 2 uses the arrow keys with Enter.
- Does it save my team?
- Yes. Your Franchise team, its colours and logo, your coins, upgrades and the current season are saved in your browser.
- Can I play on a phone or tablet?
- Yes. Use the stick to move and the Action, Sprint and Switch buttons. Tap a card to pick a play.
